Student Housing: Most students reside within doubles in a residence hall; a limited number of singles are available.

Meals: Students have access to kitchens with pots and pans within their suites

NYU Washington, DC bedrooms are furnished with a wardrobe, desk, night stand, and under-bed drawer for every resident to provide closet, drawer, and shelf space.  The NYU Washington, DC kitchens and bathrooms also have drawers and cabinets for additional storage space.  Generally, students who have packed the equivalent to about 2-3 50lb/22.5kg pieces of luggage have a sufficient amount of clothing and other personal items for the semester; those who have packed the equivalent to about 4 or more 50lb/22.5kg pieces of luggage have found themselves feeling a little overcrowded with personal belongings in a shared living situation.

Laundry: You will need to purchase a $4 laundry card from the machine in the laundry room.  When you purchase a card, the machine will only accept a $10 bill so that you have enough for a load of laundry after purchase.  Laundry at NYU Washington, DC costs $1.25/wash cycle and $1.25/dry cycle.   You can go online to add more value to your laundry card.

Parking: NYU Washington, DC is a LEED Gold building, and part of that certification includes encouraging public or alternate forms of transportation to cars.  As a result, there is no parking available at NYU Washington, DC, but we have a list of nearby parking garages.
